A Charleston Event & Bridal Library is a full-service event design & planning company with a beautiful design center, specializing in destination weddings with over 30 years experience.
Owner/Designer Elyn Rahman has been creating breathtaking weddings ranging from the classic and traditional to the modern and innovative for over thirty years in New York, London and, most recently, for the past 8 years in Charleston, S.C. and the surrounding Lowcountry. Her gift for understanding and crafting each and every bride’s vision is based on her original design ideas and meticulous attention to detail. Under the direction of Elyn and her team of professional planners, planning for every event takes on a smooth and stress-free quality, and each wedding flows seamlessly. Her association with only the finest wedding professionals in the industry allows her to focus undividedly on the orchestration of a beautiful wedding. When booking your appointment with A Charleston Event & Bridal Library, Elyn is personally on hand to answer your wedding planning questions, and to provide helpful tips on every aspect of your special day.
In addition to the above, A Charleston Event & Bridal Library offers exquisite floral design, an in-house rental division, custom invitations, programs, place cards, monogramming and unique custom-made props and linens for your special day. The Company only associates with the very BEST service providers at discounted rates.
We offer ’full-service’ planning from beginning to the day after the wedding, ’hourly rates’ for design consultations, ’week-of ’ services and ’on-the-day direction’ services, staffing for ’setup and breakdown’ services and ’custom decor’ services as well.

We have worked with these folks for a very long time and every event has been a pleasure. Their creativity and attention to detail are flawless. A wonderful group of people to work with who make every event they undertake very special for each client. Florist Details
What type of decor (if any) do you offer?
We offer many types of decorative items ranging from arches, wrought iron gates, trellises, candelabras, decorative glassware, crystal, wrought iron, wedding balloon decor and of course beautiful floral decor.

Do you provide non-floral additions to floral arrangements?
You name it, we'll provide it. We specialize in incorporating unique items into florals such as crystals, shells, buttons, jewels and much more. Country Lace or Irish Linens are also offered as wraps in place of ribbon for bouquets. If you want just a few orchids floating in water with candles, then that's what we'll do for you.

Do you offer full-services, such as wedding day set-up, for an additional fee?
Yes. On-the-Day Direction, Setup and Breakdown services are all offered through our company and prices vary depending on the nature & size of the event and work required. We also offer staffing solutions.

If you have not worked at the ceremony and/or reception sites previously, would you be willing to visit the sites before the event?
Yes. It is paramount to view the site in order to give accurate estimates. We can make arrangements to visit the site with or without the client.

Do you offer bouquet/flower preservation services?
No, but have a preferred vendor we use.

Do you offer any other specializations that have not been covered?
Fine linen rentals and custom upholstered furniture as well as custom embroidery options for monograms, names, aisle runners, etc. We also offer custom invitations, save-the-dates and custom wedding programs and stationery as well. Custom embellishments are our specialty.

What is your average turnaround time, from initial contact to shipment?
Average turnaround is 7-14 days. Usually within 7-10.

Are you able to meet clients in person to showcase your product?
Absolutely. Its important for those who can make in-person appointments to see what we have to offer. Our delightful showroom is a must for all brides booking florals, specialty linens and using our rentals.

How many planners do you work with?
We have a total number of 4 planners within our company and we also network with 3 other planning companies in Charleston.

What style of wedding do you specialize in planning?
We create all styles of weddings, however living in Historic Charleston, SC, we have a lot of requests for Beach Weddings and Plantation Weddings. A good wedding planner specializes in particular styles of weddings. A seasoned and experienced wedding planner will create ANY style wedding. Every bride has a unique vision of what her wedding day will be like. With an artistic and creative approach as well as listening carefully to our clients, we'll infuse every element into the wedding to ensure it is exactly what the bride has been dreaming about...and MORE!
Specialty: Culturally diverse and Asian Weddings, Jewish Weddings and many "Simple Elegance Theme" in beautiful backdrops. Of course there is never a restriction on Platinum Weddings in Charleston, as we are spoiled with the very best locations to hold the event.

We have two separate locations now. Location 1, is our offices and consultation premises by appointment only. Location 2, is our design center and showroom, where all our brides have a chance to see their ideas come to life. This is also booked by appointment only.
We offer sample arrangements for a small fee so you can see your designs ahead of time.
