Frequently Asked Questions for Photography
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
I always provide some black & white images and may add some additional textured effects to photographs. I am really involved with the client in this process.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I love natural daylight and will use flash when necessary to produce a natural feeling.

Is your media preference film or digital?
I shoot 100% digital but still love film. If you prefer film, I can shoot a portion of your wedding on film.

How many photographers do you work with?
My packages include 2 photographers. More can be added for larger weddings.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, I am the primary photographer for the wedding you book with me.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
We do not book more than one wedding in a day. There are weekends we will book a Saturday & Sunday wedding if they are both local Dallas area weddings.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, always. We have the necessary plans in place to replace either photographer in case of an emergency.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I use Nikon D3's and an assortment of really cool stuff like batteries and flashes. ;) All of our equipment is in tip-top shape and we don't go cheap on anything.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes. Backup equipment is always there if we need it.

Do you charge hourly or full day?
It depends on the package. We have both packages that are full day rates and some that are hourly.

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
That depends on the wedding & package selected.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
That depends on the wedding. We are comfortable with working many hours without any breaks. That's because we love what we do!

Do you charge for travel?
Yes. We will work out the details with you and find the best economical solutions.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
7 - 14 days, depending on the size of the wedding and if it was a local wedding or destination.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?
The proofing is online in digital format. Proof books are available on request.

How long can the client keep the proofs?
You will receive a CD of the high resolution images. These are yours to keep forever.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes, the photographer always has copyright but you will also have a copyright permission letter to reprint the images.

Additional Questions and Answers
Why did I become a wedding photographer?
I have a lot of great memories of looking at photographs with my family. These are some of the most memorable times of my childhood. I loved the times we spent reminiscing about the experiences we had together and the trips we took. When I first began to take photos, I felt the need to capture those moments for myself and others to share. I feel very blessed to be able to do that for my clients and provide them with something they can share with their loved ones forever.
