For any couple reading this: I am Reverend Michael and I have Officiated over a few thousand Wedding Ceremonies and therefore I have worked with hundreds of Wedding Disk Jockey's. There a are a handful of Orange County Wedding Disk Jockey's that are excellent as to quality, personality and the ability to think outside the box, but Chris is among the cream of the crop. You would be extremely remiss in not at least talking to Chris before you decide on a Disk Jockey. Each couple we have worked for have raved about Chris and could not be more pleased. If you wish to know more, feel free to contact me at ReverendMichael@ReverendMichael.com http://www.ReverendMichael.com. Rev. Michael

Frequently Asked Questions for DJ
What music genres are in your collection?
50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, Acoustic, Big Band, Classic Rock, Classical, Country, Dance, Folk, Funk, Hip Hop, Jazz, Motown, Oldies, Orchestra, Pop, Punk Rock, R&B, Rock, Soul, Strings, Swing

Do you have liability insurance?
Yes

Describe your DJ style:
Elegant, but fun. Not the same for every event. NOT CHEESY! Not a pressure salesman!

What is your usual attire?
Typically a full suit with the shirt and tie to match the wedding colors. Other attire is available on request.

If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
No. I provide the music, I am your DJ. You are not paying me to play your CD's or MP3's. I guarantee all your music choices.

How many other DJs do you work with?
Just me and my DJ assistant.

What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
4 hours on weekends and 2 on weekdays.

Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Always! I have a great office in Orange. If that is hard to get to, I can sometime arrange to meet the client else where.

Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
Yes. I cater to American, Latin, Filipino, African-American, Italian, Jewish, and many others.

Do you bring your own equipment?
If a DJ answers NO to this question, then please delete his info! We are 100% computerized. Check out the pictures on my website and the others not so good DJ's on my "Hall of Shame" page.

What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
If you can dream it, I can provide it!

How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
We bring everything neccesary for set-up. Again, if a DJ requires you or the site to provide a table or other equipment, that is a HUGE red flag. Why would a DJ not bring the items neccesary to DJ with? We don't need space taking tables, etc... See what I am talking about on my website.

Do you have any extra space requirements?
No. We bring the CORRECT amount of equipment. Many DJ's will bring a concert system for a 70 person wedding. You don't need 10 subwoofers for grandma's 80th B-Day party.

Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
I emcee the events, but never talk between songs. We are not a radio station, we don't need to stop the dancing to tell people the artist and song they just heard. Why do DJ's do this?

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
No meal break is required. We do appreciate when invited to eat, but it is not a mandatory requirement. If we are asked to eat, we will make sure the computerized sound system plays a great mix of music. Not Kenny G. running song after song!

Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
No breaks are needed.

What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, we belong to a DJ association that provides emergency on call DJ's

What is your overtime rate?
Varies by event.

Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
No charge for travel with in a 100 mile range. Outside of that we can discuss travel arrangements.

Additional Questions and Answers
Please check out my website for the proof that not all DJ's are equal.  Then book a free no obligation appointment to meet with me.  If you don't hire me, at least you will be educated enough to make the right choices.
