I found Irises Designs online and met with Ricardo. After interviewing several florists, I knew Ricardo was the one because of his personality and his ideas. I was a very easygoing Bride with no set ideas at all as to what flower types or color schemes that I wanted. I had sent him some pictures of bouquets that I liked, and during our first meeting, he had some samples for me, which NO other florist had done. This helped tremendously as I am a very visual person and this helped me decide on what flowers I wanted. Ricardo was full of ideas and truly loves what he does. He is also SUPER nice, and took notes on EVERYTHING, which I loved, being a very organized person. He was extremely responsive to phone calls and emails, and was totally flexible with some last minute things that the Venue had not previously told us about. I would HIGHLY recommend Irises Designs to any couple as they will DEFINITELY make your day go smoothly and the flowers were absolutely GORGEOUS!!

I was very please with Ricardo & his team at IrisesDesigns. I had an idea of how I wanted our centerpiece to look like for our wedding and Ricardo came thru with suggestions on how to make it even better. I was sad that I was only going to use my bouquet for one day because it was so beautiful. Ricardo's work is so out of the norm and he use flowers/plants/fruits into his work that work so well with eachother. My flowers were simple as I wanted them to be, but looking at his previous work was the reason for having IrisesDesigns be apart of our day.

Adriana was awesome! She handled a lot of the back and forth communication .... wedding date changes, floral changes, color scheme changes, etc.... they were so flexible and awesome!! The flowers were so beautiful! Everyone raved about my bouquet and the flower choices!!

OMG!!! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! In the beginning they were nice, and I was actually excited because the centerpieces they created for me was beautiful, The day of my Wedding it was a nightmare, First all the bouquets for my bridesmaids looked 5 days old!!! The ceremony main altar had gaps of missing flowers, The main event @ my reception OMG these centerpieces were horrible!! Hes excuse was he was under stress having a hard day!!! I was real mad!! till this day I have not heard from them or any apologies, they wanted to refund me $100 for damages, Wow!!! My wedding planner said there never going to hire them again for futute brides!!! To you brides pay a little extra for flowers through a better florist.

Aside from saying “Yes” when my husband asked me to marry him, choosing our florist was the biggest decision of my life! I didn’t want some cookie cutter white on white with touches of pink wedding. We were getting married in October, we love Halloween and we especially love the movie The Nightmare before Christmas. So as you can imagine, we wanted something different done. We wanted people to feel like they were walking into a forest inspired by Tim Burton during autumn with a touch of The Haunted Mansion; creepy branches, pumpkins, dim candle lights, etc. With such specific detail, I was nervous that no one would be able to translate what I had in my mind into reality. I also found a picture of a bouquet that I just had to have (it was this whimsical Alice in Wonderland style) and I knew that he would do an amazing job, but I didn’t think that he would make it look exactly like the picture. Imagine my surprise when I saw it and it was identical! Ricardo went above and beyond what I asked for. He was available when I needed to talk to him; he’s so friendly and exceptionally creative, he and his wife can do anything you throw at them! Everyone couldn’t get over how beautiful our wedding was. From the iron candelabras with ivy and pumpkins lining the aisle, to the 2 large Manzanita branches covered in orange flowers with pumpkins and moss at the altar, to the branch centerpieces with hanging candles and more pumpkins…It was all perfect. Once I was able to sit down at our head table and look over the room, I actually started crying! I couldn’t believe that he was actually able to read my mind and see exactly what I saw for our wedding. And he also took what we used in the ceremony into our reception so that we could use the candelabras and the Manzanita branches as well! And he did our aisle runner for us which was gorgeous! There is no way for us to express our gratitude to Ricardo for what he did. The florist is the one who sets the theme for the wedding and he did just that. Irises Designs is the best there is!

Ricardo is the BEST! Very nice and a pleasure to work with. He listened and gave me exactly what I wanted. My wedding was beautiful thanks to him! I received so many compliments on my flowers. The best decision I ever made for my wedding day!

Ricardo is AMAZING. Not only is he a great florist but he's also a great bridal therapist :) I gave him a lot of creative freedom and he rocked it. I was very very happy with my flowers. They looked amazing in photographs!!!

I have to say, I'm a bit in the same boat as Kimberly on this one, although for different reasons. I would absolutely love to give Irises a glowing review because I think the owner is just the nicest, most hard-working person imaginable. He was incredibly sweet and he tried right on through the end to make our wedding decor just what we wanted, and to keep us in budget. In the end, it worked out and we had really pretty arrangements that I think were worth the money. Irises also provided exactly the ceremony decor that we wanted, which was simple and gorgeous, and we could not have been more pleased with it! Now for the bad news... I was a fairly unusual bride with an unusually broad interest in plants and flowers. Unfortunately I also had some strong ideas about what flowers I did and did not want to have. Overall, I was looking for something that was really unusual, rustic, and playful, hopefully with native plants and a lot of botanical interest. While what we got was lovely, and probably unusual by florists' standards, it wasn't really what I had in mind. I rated professionalism lowest here only because I had a really difficult time communicating with Irises about our ideas, and the kind of plants I wanted and where I hoped they would come from. It seemed like Irises is a bit too standard in their approach and sourcing to accommodate someone who wants something "wild" (or seemingly so), something ecologically-minded (meaning salvaged, gathered, or locally-grown) etc. Three months before the wedding it seemed like they just weren't on the same page; everything we saw looked very formal and, well, average. Beautiful, but just what you would expect for a wedding. We wanted something quite different. And it was pretty stressful to be spending so much and coming right down to the wire not knowing if we would be happy with the end result. So my summary is this: I think most brides and grooms will be delighted with Irises, and if you're after a more straightforward or traditional or modern type of flower decor, Irises is probably a good choice. They will provide you beautiful roses and ranunculus and dahlias etc.! If, however, you consider yourself an alternative, non-traditional, breakin'-the-mold, eclectic sort of bride, Irises is probably not a good choice. If you want twigs and weird succulents, mini artichokes and old-fashioned roses and such - I don't think that's their talent. So I don't think they were the best match for our wedding. That being said, I still rate them pretty highly because they worked very hard for us, and I know their clients are their highest priority!

The centerpieces, bouquets, corsages, just everything was perfect! When I had any questions, Ricardo was there to assist in any and every way!

I event had him assist with a grand opening that I was responsible for at work, again did an AMAZING job!

You will not be disappointed in what he and his team does!

Working with Irises I never had any doubts, worries or complaints. The staff was always there for me when I needed them and they were always very knowledgable. The flowers and decor was great and everyone commented so much and so highly of the staff and flowers. Great job and would use them again in a heart beat.

IRISES DESIGNS were wonderful!!! The flowers were spectacular. Ricardo and his team did an awesome job. The centerpieces for the reception were incredible. They were so beautiful. We highly recommend Irises Designs to anyone.Thank you so much Irises designs!!!

Ok after much thought I've decided to change my review of this vendor because otherwise I would not only be cheating myself but I would be cheating those who read my review and ended up experiencing what I did because of my review. I originally wrote a five star review with no complaints because I didn't want to hurt anybodys feelings, but I have come to realize that it is not about feelings but about helping those who are going to get married to have the best experience ever. Sooooo the truth of the matter is I was not happy with my centerpieces. I gave detailed instructions to the florist on what I wanted and ended up paying extra at the last minute in order to get exactly what I wanted. On the day of the wedding the florist was late approx 3 hours and was very unorganized. My centerpieces had about 1-2 dozen less flowers than they were supposed to have and looked no where near what I had dreamed of. The owner is supppper suppper nice and thats one of the reasons I didn't want to give a bad review but have since changed my mind, not to be spiteful but because honesty is the best way to go in this situation. And hopefully they will learn from their mistakes and do all that they can to not make those mistakes again.

Irises Designs was a life saver for me. With my busy schedule, I did not have the luxury, nor the time to oversee the planning of my wedding. I had to rely on others, and Ricardo and his team was one of them. I gave Ricardo free reins in organizing the flowers arrangements. All I asked is that it look nice. Ricardo and his team surpassed the nice effect. What they did was beyond what I could have ever dreamed of. We received many complements on our wedding, but the majority of complements were on our flowers. People could not believe how beautiful all the arrangement were.

Irises Floral Design provided the flowers for our reception and ceremony in May. Ricardo was fun to work with in designing our color scheme for our day. He is energetic and his arrangements were beautiful as well as unique. Everyone at our wedding raved about the flowers and different they were. He captured our tastes and our personality to a tee. He was ontime and everything was absolutely perfect.
